Good news! Digia's released an updated beta version of their @Web browser for the UIQ 3 platform; below is a copy of the change log taken from their support page: (note that you must sign in to see the change log)
- Pages can be loaded with or without images (setting item)
- Bookmark list now supports kinetic scrolling
- Bookmark URL size is increased to 258 characters
- Flash disabled (was accidentially enabled in Beta 1 causing some problems in pages with flash content)
- Panning improvements
- Stability improvements
- URL fix when navigating back and forward
- Zoom interaction improvement
And just to be sure that everyone read the small print on Digia's support page:
Our plan is to provide the third beta in September.I'm definitely looking forward to that. Aren't you?

Do you know any ways to watch youtube on p1i opera does not seem to stream it does this browser or is it the settings in the p1i ?
thanks.
@matthew
AFAIK, there doesn't seem to be a Youtube client app for the P1, so the only way to access Youtube is m.youtube.com - which means that to watch a clip it has to be streamed.
m.youtube.com dude, no problems here with opera 8.65 or opera mini. No extra app needed.
@Web is looking good indeed, much better and stable now, is not that jerky as before and the movement is smooth. Cheers for the heads up.
What's the point of this app anyway? UIQ is as good as dead.
iPhone for life!
@xtream, core player plays true flv flash video from youtube
regarding @web, please answer the poll at uiqblog, it was requested by Digia
http://www.uiqblog.com/2008/08/12/uiqblogcom-poll-most-requested-features-in-digia-web/
sjobzz, we are talking about smartphones here, not toys...btw, have you find your crack???
"iPhone" *snigger*
this is great news!
The pages should open in zoom-out view and not like now, right in your face close up?
Whats your opinion?
I certainly miss the total zoom-out function of Opera Mini(OM) in @Web, the 50% zoom is not good enough.
I also see a difference in speed with OM and @Web that I didn't expect, @Web is very slow, even with 3G or WiFi when compared to OM.
I do like the rendering of pages much more than OM, and the simplicity of it, but still, they need to work on it a lot before they release it.
This people are making new software for UIQ "now", and even if it is not ready yet, my hat goes out in salute.
please send your opinions to digia´s support email guys
@web is still very young and I think after its beta stages it will be with a pricetag. It is not as good as the S60 Nokia Browser.
And why can't Sony Ericsson release a phone with the latest Opera Mobile, and Flash and Java support. SE flashlite is only 2 compare to Nokia's flashlite 3(which is capable of watching youtube videos directly)
Opera Mini is a fast browser. Opera Mobile is not. Hope SE will update Opera Mobile
