ares on the UIQ Evangelist has gotten a few screenshots of UIQ 3.3 running on the cancelled smart phone project codenamed "BeiBei" - which incidentally is also the platform that the SE P1 successor, the "Paris" P5 was touted to run on. The screenshot images do look stunning to say the least; it's simply a shame that we won't ever be seeing something like this grace on our own P1 smart phones.

But it doesn't matter that much. Who's up for independant developers to harvest and port the UIQ 3.3 apps over to the P1?

If you are in New Zealand... Never. Sony Ericsson New Zealand = FAIL.

They seem to think that the end user is not entitled to updates and in fact if you force newer firmware onto the phone, fixing the bugs and adding new features, you will void the warranty. R9H004 is almost a year old with no explanation as to why they wont roll it out here.

I have been a loyal SE user for the last 8 years but it's going to be iPhone for me next time.

    Thanks SE. Loosers.
