Yep, it's finally been cracked. Kudos to swmail for posting it up on the IPMart forums; now with Walkman 3.0, it comes with visualisations and Senseme music-mood choosing abilities, so basically the P1i = W960i + expandable memory.
Just a note on the Walkman 3.0 hack - it's solely exclusive for the P1i, and doesn't work with the W950, M600 or the P990. And as always, there can be potential problems with installing hacked applications like these on the root memory, so please backup your C:\ and all of your files before you attempt installation.

holy crapinsky, this is geting better and better :) Walkman port is just the beginning IMO.
how exactly do you install the walkman 3.0 to the p1i i've tried and it doesn' seem to work and i had been to the ipmart webbie but still coudn't get it to work ... any step by step help on installation ... thanks any help appreciated ...
i have put all the archive files in the c: After restarting the phone when i run the walkman it says "application cannot be started". Please help
Same here mate... Spent the whole holiday doing the same but it says "Application cannot be started" Please suggest a solution.

You cannot have the original walkman player on when you try to turn on the new walkman.
Also, if it still doesn't work, repeat the steps again, then restart your phone, and try again.
RE: Installation
Go to se-nse.net and search for "hacking uiq3" which would give you a link to this tutorial: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=27191&hl=install+unsigned
Follow the instructions there, and then upload the patch trkapp into your C:\sys\bin
this would allow the application Capswitch to work.
After you have done the above, open capswitch, and press the switch button so your screen displays the word OFF.
Use the application X-plore, or SwissManagerPro to copy the files from your memory stick to the C drive.
Restart your P1i and find it in Tools. You cannot have both walkmans running, from what I understand.

i am unable to get rid of the "application couldn't be started" error. no i do not have any previous version of walkman on my mobile. can anyone upload the archive, which they've copied on the c:
do i need to change the spelling of any folder i.e. change caps etc.

as above, same errors, did everything correctly. I have no old versions installed, simply copied the files into the correct locations on the phones C drive.

i tried to follow everything step by step by copy file by file to the located folder and restart many many times but still cant get the thing started.
i check the walkman2 is not on as well.
any advice? I really want to have that in my phone. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

i got the walkman3 installed plus did the sound volume mod...all in 15mins flat...
this hack is for p1i specifically..
check ur phone s/w version in more>status...and see its same as the swmail site...if not then use SEUS to updatate ur phone s/w b4 goin ahead with the installation...

i faced the same problem initially abt application could not start. After trying a few things finally got it. You got to open task manager and end the old music player application and then you can proceed to open the new music player 3. Works for me.
1. You need to down load CapsSwitch from - http://www.agathosyne.de/files_ext/CapsSwitch.zip
2. Install it on P1i
3. Download the Walkman 3 from- http://www.agathosyne.de/files_ext/wplayer_v3_swmail_mod.zip and install 4 subfolder contents of unzipped C folder temporarily on the P1i D:/memory card drive
4. Install Xplore (LCG) program (trial version will do)
5. Use the installed CapSwitch program and Switch OFF the capabilities
6. Open the Xplore and identify the temporarily installed 4 subfolders in the P1i D:/ memory card
7. Tick mark the 4 subfolders and come back the the menu and choose "Move"
8. Tap the C:/ folder on the top without opening it and come back to the menu and "Select"
9. The 4 subfolders from the D:/ memory card will be moved directly into C:/ and automatically install
10. Exit the Xplore and switch off the phone
11. Re start the phone and you will find the Walkman 3 installed under the the "Tools" folder
12. Update the music in Walkman 3 and enjoy the music
Hey guys finally i run walkman player 3 to my P1i, just follow the instruction it really works, and don't forget to end the older walkman player in your task manager. You neee Xplore and Capswitch to be able to copy or move walkman player files to drive C.
i did everything as it is supposed to be done buti can't find the application in my tools and on top of that i went on losing all my internet accounts immediately after the process, is it that it caused the problem???i can nolonger access the internet, plse help if u've got a solution.

I'd follwed instruction by Anonymous and it works.
Try moving only the 4 subfolders under the folder C on the WalkmanPlayerV3 not all the contents.

i have same problem @ Opera 9.5b. It also shows Error Message "Could not start the app"!!

I try to reset all the setting on my phone to reinstall in on the very beginning but still the application is still there. how can I remove it? and please help me can you give me the step by step so that i can understand and use the walkman 3.0 on my P1i..
