For those of you who aren't familiar with Slingplayer, it's a device that allows for your TV input to be streamed online to a variety of devices, including your laptop, PS3, mobile phone, etc. A very ingenius concept, as this means that you can get TV as long as you have 3G or WiFi on your phone. To set this device up, you'll need to purchase the Slingmedia box to connect to your TV inputs, and the software for your mobile phone.

Since I'll be heading off to university elsewhere next year, I'm definitely looking at one of these devices so I can get my Premiership football even in university :). Trouble is, the official Slingmedia support page doesn't offer a UIQ version for download even though I've been told that it's supported on the W950i. C'mon, it's a UIQ device, so why isn't a UIQ version up there?

A nice person in this forum is offering the file to all people requesting it, so do take a look if you're interested.

And I most definitely will be contacting Slingmedia about this. It's most unacceptable how the W950 has the software while leaving all other UIQ users in the dark.

Feel free to post your opinion on this matter. I'll be providing updates on this blog on how the queries to Slingmedia goes...
