Apart from that 3GSM conference that most of us are looking forwards to, there's been recent hints and word from SE that they're going to release the phone (image below) codenamed "Beibei" on the 10th of February in Paris.
Judging by the photo, it's hard to deny that its a hoax, and it does look pretty convincing, sporting the new Walkman 3.0 interface. Apparently, "Beibei" uses the + JOG navigation design found in many Japanese SE phones, which makes it even more convincing for those analysts.
It seems apparent that this phone will make use of the new UIQ 3.2 system, and might possibly be similar to the Motorola Z8 - dropping the touch interface. However, it seems apparent, alongside the rumours of this new smart phone, that Sony Ericsson seems to be shifting its values slightly, offering UIQ systems on mid-high end music phones. Perhaps in the short term future we'll see the UIQ platform on the W-series phones?

xtreme, some remarks: the pic you show is pretty much how beibei looks like...later today you´ll see why (watch USEB and uiqblog)
on other hand, this device has a touch screen, although it does not seem to...but, it really alows try one handed operation, so, best of both worlds
Ares as long I have a P1i I can come here right? I can still express my feeling right? Even if I don't have a P1 I can come on this site and express my feelings. I am not talking bad stuff about the blog, just about UIQ and I'm sure as hell I am not alone in that!
